ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — A former employee of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office has been arrested for sexually assaulting a child.
Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) investigators arrested 53-year-old Jonathan Matthew Waugh Tuesday, October 11th for sexual battery of a minor.
He is charged with felony sexual assault and was not given bond.
On a Facebook post, the ECSO wrote that he worked in the IT department at the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.
The ECSO reports that he has been terminated as a result of this arrest and investigation.

On 10/10/17, ECSO Investigators arrested Jonathan Waugh for sexual battery of a minor. Waugh worked in the IT department at the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and has been terminated. Per Florida State statue Waugh’s mug shot photograph is exempted from public record.
