The FIUPD are taking this seriously. This is just another insignificant incident (like forgetting to register a new address in time) that may cause more harm to this registrant for simply..smelling a women's foot. This man is transient, as many are in Miami-Dade county due to strict residency restrictions, but if allowed employment and to live in an apartment without restrictions this "Terrible incident"..SMH..
may never have occurred.

Florida International University police told a local TV station Eddy Juan, 52, was captured trying to flee on a scooter in Miami-Dade on Tuesday. Juan is accused of smelling women's feet at a campus library.
A man who crawled under a table and smelled women's feet at a south Florida university library was arrested Tuesday, police said.
The filthy foot fiend sparked a campus-wide alert after he was caught getting a nose-full inside of Florida International University's Green Library around noon on Aug. 29, campus police said.
But officers tracked down registered sex offender Eddy Juan trying to get away on a motor scooter after a tipster who recognized him from the news alerted Miami-Dade cops, police told WTVJ.
He had managed to scurry off before anyone could nab him at the library, but not before at least one photo was taken of his grizzly face gazing up at a camera from the ground.

The man was seen crawling under a table inside of the school's Green library on Aug. 29, campus police said.
"I'd be so freaked out. I don't know what I would do," student Natalie Quintana told WSVN upon hearing news that a foot-sniffer was on the loose. "Probably kick him."
"You've got to start wearing some sneakers," another student told the news station.
One of the photos distributed by campus police showed the pedi-pariah riding on a black or dark-blue scooter with a white baseball cap, dark sunglasses and backpack.
"Although some may consider this to be humorous or insignificant, the FIUPD takes these reports seriously and continues to investigate the matter," the school's police department said in a statement.
Juan, 52, now faces charges of trespassing, fleeing, resisting an officer and aggravated assault against an officer, county inmate records show.
He joined the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators list in 1997 after he was convicted of lewd and lascivious behavior against a child under 16, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
