The conference will feature both Justin Brooks, Director of the California Innocence Project, and his client Brian Banks, who endured 5 years in prison, a term of parole and the sex offender registry — for a crime he did not commit. 

Brian and Justin’s story is the subject of the recently released movie Brian Banks, which will be screened at this year’s conference.

• Dr. Alissa Ackerman – A pioneer in the field of restorative and transformative justice for persons affected by the registry (TEDx talk). 
• Aaron Marcus – An attorney successfully fighting Pennsylvania’s registry law, who has lessons for California and elsewhere.
