From Charlie:
Last April Pauline and I attended the Opening of the National Memorial for Peace & Justice (the museum about lynching) and The Legacy Museum: From Enslavement to Mass Incarceration in Montgomery, Alabama. Visiting these sites was a very moving experience and one that we would like you to experience also. (Google Equal Justice Initiative website for more info).
Thus, we hope you can join us at the DoubleTree Hotel in Montgomery from Saturday afternoon, April 6, to check out on Tuesday morning, April 9.
Also, you will hear speakers concerning prison reforms. These include Congress returning Pell Grants to prisoners and states releasing lifers.
IF YOU PLAN TO COME, WHAT SHOULD YOU DO FIRST?
THE ANSWER IS TO BOOK YOUR ROOM RESERVATION FOR THE THREE NIGHTS (SAT. APR. 6, SUN. APR 7. MON. APR.8) AT THE DOUBLE TREE HOTEL IN MONTGOMERY NOW. GOOGLE THEIR WEBSITE OR CALL 334-245-2320. BE SURE AND ASK ABOUT THE 50% REDUCTION IN COST ON ON SUNDAY.
